Kaylee, Class of 2024

Kaylee has been one of my favorite clients to photograph over the past 5 years. She is unafraid to be herself in front of the camera, and has allowed me countless opportunities to photograph the depths of her bonds with two half Arabian horses, Romeo and Cruz, and the beloved dogs in her family. She has a gentle way with animals, where even the most guarded ones melt into her heart, willing to do whatever she asks.

This session, photographed at Eastmanville Farm County Park, Coopersville, Michigan, was in celebration of her upcoming high school graduation! We had a long checklist of images she wanted captured for her senior photos, including photos of her alone, with two dogs individually and together, with two horses individually and together, and than of course a variety of combinations of horse and dogs, in three outfit changes.

Time flew by as we photographed, dodging the storm clouds and reveling in the different personalities throughout the animals. A small part of me hopes Kaylee with stay local for college, but I know she’s destined for greatest. Wherever that may lead her, I wish her all the best and hopes she’ll never be without an animal by her side.
