2025 EQUINE PORTRAIT WORKSHOPS
Based in the greater Grand Rapids, Michigan area, set for June 28-29 and August 30-31.
ABOUT THESE WORKSHOPS
During these workshops, we will be embarking on a two day photography journey with a small group of like minded professional photographers, learning the extensive process of creating equine portraits. These images are wildly popular, and are sought after by both the owners as fine art for their homes, as well as equestrian brands for commercial marketing.
These workshops, are set in the greater Grand Rapids, Michigan area, with date options of June 28-29 and August 30-31. We will be utilizing local barns that offer a variety of horses and riding disciplines for us to photograph. We will be dividing our time learning about client and horse preparation prior to your photoshoot, choosing locations with the best natural lighting (for both Black Backgrounds and White Backgrounds), basic and advanced posing (still portraits, portraits with movement, and poses for compositions of multiple horses), file management and the in depth editing process using Adobe Photoshop, how to elevate your finished work to maximize fine art purchases, and many other tips and tricks along the way!
